A total of nine Bongofleva artists will receive an award this week for breaking the record for having the largest Boomplay audience.
The popular ‘Boomplay Plaques’ awards are presented once a year to recognize the efforts of artists who are doing well on the Boomplay App.
This is the second time the awards have been released which are specifically for artists who have continued to do well through their music career within the past one year.

Natasha Stambuli added that the criteria used to select artists include the amount of audio (streams) of the artist's song, album and audio based on the overall artist's songs. Winners' figures are taken from November 2020 to May 2021.
