WIZARA YA ELIMU: DAAD SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME IN GERMANY 2021

‘Leadership for Africa’ scholarship programme for Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and South Sudan

Call for Application

The General public is hereby informed that the Germany  DAAD Scholarship programme for 2021 is now open for eligible Tanzanians to undertake Master’s studies in Germany Universities in all fields of study with the exception of Medicine, Public Health, Veterinary, Dentistry, Law, the Arts and Architecture.

2.0 Application requirements

Applicants must fulfil the following criteria:

  1. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree to study for a Masters at an officially recognized University in Germany;
  2. Hold a Bachelor of Art/ Bachelor of Science degree with at least upper second class division level;
  3. Have notification of admission from a Germany host University for the desired study Programme;
  4. Not more than six (6) years since the completion of the last academic degree; and
  5. Have good English/ Germany Language Skills.

3.0. List of documents to be submitted

The following is a list of documents  to included in the application pack:

  1. DAAD application form duly completed (Available on the DAAD application Portal);
  2. Curriculum vitae (max1-3 pages), use the European Specimen form at http://europass.cedefop. Europa.eu ;
  3. Letter of Motivation (1-3 pages);
  4. Dully completed DAAD ’information form about your preferred Master’s Programmes’ (Please specify at least 3 Masters Programmes);
  5. Proof of English/ Germany Language Skills;
  6. Certified copies of academic certificates and transcripts;
  7. A summary of your undergraduate project or thesis (1 page). If your undergraduate studies did not include project or thesis, please upload a short explanation instead; and
  8. Certified copies of passport and/ or passport biodata page and other documents containing information about the applicant and their current resident status.

NB: There is no top-up loan or grant from the Government of Tanzania for the candidates who will be offered scholarships other than the one offered by DAAD.

4.0      Application process and submission

Applications have to be submitted via DAAD portal by July 2nd, 2021 (24.00hrs) Central European Time. Incomplete application and application submitted through other channel or Authority will not be considered.
