Minister of State, Office of the President Regional Administration and Local Government (PMO-RALG) Hon. Ummy Mwalimu has promised to make major changes to the executives of local government authorities due to dissatisfaction with the performance of some staff and Heads of Departments in those authorities.
Minister Ummy made the statement in Dodoma while closing the working session of the heads of administrative and human resources departments in the public service, where he noted that some of them have been building bridges between them and the staff in charge.
In addition, Hon. Ummy said his office intends to make changes to the system of staff and executives in Local Government Authorities including removing disciplinary powers from the Council.
