INTRODUCTION.

"We will continue to control inflation to slow the rise in commodity prices. I believe these efforts will help reduce the severity of Employee Lives but I assure Employees next year as today I am coming up with a good package for employees.
1. ABOUT SALARIES
"Wages have not been increased for a long time. I personally want to increase salaries this year but for various reasons I have failed. Tanzania's economy has dropped from 6.9% to 4.7% because of Corona. I promise you that next year on a day like today I will raise wages."
"We will increase the salaries of employees (next year) including increasing the minimum wage for the public and private sectors and in that I order the immediate creation of payroll boards to work, next year I know how much I raise" ——— President Samia.
2. 40000 EMPLOYMENT
We are going to make a Structural Structure change that will cost Tsh. Bil.120 and also to recruit 40,000 new Staff to reduce the burden on existing Staff especially in the Education and Health Sectors, these new jobs will cost Tsh. 3. REGARDING TAX .
President Samia Suluhu Hassan today at the May Day celebrations in Mwanza, said the Government has decided to reduce the Payroll Tax (PAYE) by one percent ——— “We have decided to reduce 1% of PAYE so now you and my colleagues will be cut 8% instead of the 9 % of original ”
4. DEPENDENCE TO 21 YEARS.
"Regarding Health Insurance, an 18-year-old child is still dependent on his parents, we have decided to increase the dependent age, we will be from 18 to 21 years where we intend to make these decisions in the amendment of the Health Insurance Act" ——— President Samia in May Mwanza today.
5. CREDIT BOARD DEDUCTIONS.
"Regarding the deductions of the Higher Education Credit Board, we have decided to keep the 15% deducted from your salary and the Government has decided to cancel the 6% we were charging more but the borrowers will continue to pay, the Credit Board I commend but this 6% to remove" at the May Day celebrations in Mwanza today.
6. EMPLOYEES 'DEBT.
"Regarding the staff debts, the Government is trying to repay them, from July last year to April this year, the Government has paid salary arrears worth Tsh Bil. 74 to 36,126 Staff and we will continue to pay all Staff Debts ”——— President Samia at the May Day celebrations in Mwanza today.
7. STAFF GRADE.
"As for the issue of suspended seventh grade employees, I know there are those who have not been paid on the pretext that the government has not issued guidelines, I instruct all employers who had such employees to do everything possible to pay their dues."
