The National Audit Office of Tanzania (NAOT) is the Supreme Audit Institution of the United Republic of Tanzania headed by the Controller and Auditor General (CAG). Its mandate is enshrined under Article 143 of the Constitution of the United Republic of Tanzania. The powers and mandate of the CAG are clearly stipulated in Sections 11 and 12 of the Public Audit Act, and its Regulations, 2009.
The Secretary of the Secretariat for Employment in the Public Service on behalf of the National Audit Office (NAOT) welcomes job applications from qualified and capable Tanzanians to fill ten (10) vacancies as outlined in this announcement.
1.0 EMPLOYER: NATIONAL AUDIT OFFICE (NAOT).
1.0.1 GRADE II INSPECTOR - (POSITION 10).
1.0.2 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES.
i. Reviewing documents for expenditure, development, deposits, agencies, funds, special projects and Government revenue;
ii. Participate in preparing and overseeing the implementation of the annual audit work plan;
iii. Participate in evaluating the action plan and proposing changes where necessary based on the evaluation of the action plan implementation report;
iv. Ensuring that arguments and inspection letters are provided and addressed in a timely manner;
v. Participate in the preparation and implementation of the Audit Program;
vi. Participate in planning and coordinating the audit work plan;
vii. Preparing arguments and audit letters; and
viii. Keep records of various inventory records in his or her facility with the instructions of the workplace leader.
