Mzumbe University offers Bachelor Programmes in three campuses for the academic year 2021/2022. These campuses are Main Campus-Morogoro; Dar es Salaam Campus College; and Mbeya Campus College. Applicants wishing to be admitted into one of these programmes have to clearly indicate their campus preferences during their applications. When selecting your programme, the Programme Code will signify the campus for which the programme is offered. Applicants may choose up to three choices and one may be selected depending on his/her preferences and the competition in academic performance.
Any programme with the code starting with MU is offered at Mzumbe University - Main Campus; the code starting with MDA is offered at Mzumbe University-Dar es Salaam Campus College; and the code starting with MMB is offered at Mzumbe University - Mbeya Campus College. The University offers Bachelor Programmes in three campuses for the academic year 2021/2022. These campuses are Main Campus-Morogoro; Dar es Salaam Campus College; and Mbeya Campus College. The University offers 7 Diploma and 9 Certificate Programmes for the academic year 2020/21. All Diploma Programmes are offered at Mbeya Campus College except for Diploma in Applied Statistics (DAS) and Diploma in Information Technology (DIT) which are offered at the Main Campus-Morogoro. All Certificate Programmes are offered at the Main Campus-Morogoro except for Certificate in Accountancy (CA) and Certificate in Human Resource Management (CHRM) which are offered at Mbeya Campus College.
Any programme with the code starting with MU is offered at Mzumbe University - Main Campus, a programme with the code MMB is offered at Mzumbe University - Mbeya Campus College, and a programme with the code MDA is offered at Mzumbe University - Dar Es Salaam Campus College.
Mode of Application:
i. Apply online at admission.mzumbe.ac.tz. Please follow carefully the steps in the Online application system. Before you go
to online application system, make sure you have an active email address and a mobile phone number.
ii. Applications with Foreign Secondary Certificates must be accompanied by the National Examination Council of Tanzania
(NECTA) equivalence translations. 2
iv. Applications with Foreign Certificates (Certificate or Diploma Qualifications) must be accompanied by the National Council
for Technical Education (NACTE) equivalence translations.
v. Please, make payment of a non-refundable application fee of TZS 10,000/= by following payment procedures after completing
steps 1 and 2 in the Online Application and Admission System at admission.mzumbe.ac.tz
vi. Applications will start on 26thAugust, 2020 and the deadline is 25th September 2020. Successful applicants will be notified
through their system user accounts, email addresses and SMS through mobile phone number, used during the application
process. Please make sure you keep your admission account login credentials (username and password) and visit the
account regularly.

GENERAL MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR DEGREE PROGRAMMES
(a) Direct Entry Qualifications
(i) The applicant must have at least three (3) O-Level credit passes in relevant subjects according to specific programme.
(ii) The applicant must have at least two principal level passes at A-Level; provided that the total number of points is at
least 4.5 with EXCEPTION of Bachelor of Science with Education programme (MU025) offered in Faculty of Science and
Technology at the main Campus which requires at least 4.0 A-level points.
(iii) For purposes of calculating minimum cut-off points in (ii) above, the scale is as follows; A=5; B=4; C=3; D=2; E=1;
S=0.5. For candidates who sat for their Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination, in 2014 and 2015, the
required scale is as follows; A=5; B+=4; B=3; C=2; D=1; E=0.5. Also note that, for the candidates who sat for their
Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination in 2014 and 2015, the Principal Pass starts with C.
(b) Equivalent Entry Qualifications
(i) Appropriate Diploma from an accredited training institution of not less than 3.0 GPA. In addition, the candidate must
have at least four passes at Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (O-Level).
(ii) Specific entry requirements are presented in each programme in section B below.
NOTE: Divinity/Bible Knowledge and Islamic Knowledge are NOT considered in the computation of cut-off points.
